Do I need therapy?!?

Updated: Apr 10

Let’s get real for a moment: I truly believe that the biggest mental health challenge of our time centers around a simple yet profound question: “Am I really facing a mental health crisis, or do I just need some new tools to handle these totally common, relatable struggles?” Honestly, isn’t it wild? The internet has morphed into this vast self-diagnosis playground. Who hasn’t found themselves diving deep into WebMD, wondering if that odd flutter in their chest is anxiety, a heart issue, or perhaps a touch of indigestion?

We're bombarded with snippets of information that can make anyone feel like they’re one Google search away from becoming a part-time doctor or therapist. We often find ourselves pondering, “Am I just having a rough day, or is there something deeper lurking beneath the surface?” That’s when the spiral begins: you start with “How to tell if I’m just stressed,” and suddenly you’re knee-deep into “What kind of medication should I consider for complex PTSD with a sprinkle of narcissistic traits?” Pro tip: definitely not a midnight dilemma! But here we are, right?

Let’s get one thing straight: mental health is a spectrum. Some days, I’m a zen master, expertly sipping matcha and making kindergarten drop-offs without a hitch (and trust me, no tears from me or my kindergartner—winning!). Other days? Let’s just say I’m fighting back tears over a spilled cup of milk—not the same as spilled breast milk, which is a whole different level of tear-jerker! What triggers these shifts? If only we had the magic formula!

But here's the good news: you don't have to navigate it all alone. Consultations are designed to help you discover what suits you best and to unpack the question we all ask… Do I need therapy? And if so, what kind works for me? Let’s find out together!
